Digital Manges - Manges (Sharkslayer Remix)

Best Club / Electro track of the summer, perhaps the year,

It's got this really cool offbeat sample in it which doesn't sync properly with the bassline (purposely of course, it wasn't an amateur mistake), it's very unique, definitely haven't heard anything like this in a while. I really dig it. I've never heard the original track, just the remix, but I assume the remix is much better.

I have high hopes for this, and if it doesn't make it to the top of the charts, well then it'll just stay our little secret.

So Much Love To Give - DJ Falcon & Thomas Bangalter

I've heard of DJ Falcon before I heard this, in fact i first heard one of his songs around last October or November (Don't really remember when but it wasn't quite winter yet, but it was still cold) I dismissed his music quickly as generic French House music (not that I don't like house, quite the opposite really I love house music) but it sounded too boring for me to really continue listening, I heard two of his songs then moved on. But recently one of his songs came back to me, but this one wasn't one his solo songs, this song was made under a house duo that he was a member of called 'Together' which consists of him and Thomas Bangalter (of Daft Punk) and I heard it because it was the last song Crookers played as part of their Lollapalooza set, I liked it but has no idea what the song was called, and thanks to youtube and google I was reunited with the song a week later. Anyone who likes daft punk will love this track.
it's so happy

Two New Songs

It's been quite a while since my last post, but I have not forgotten about my blog, it is still active, every now and then I open up a new post for myself and begin to type, however once I reach one sentance into my blog post, my lethargic tendencies kick in and I close the page and move onto something else. I think it is because I feel that there are not enough people reading this for me to continue, however the original purpose of this blog was to cure boredom which is what I am doing now, as I sit in my basement at 8:30 on a a nice summer night, unable to go outside because I have work tommorow at eight in the morning. In the last week I have come across two new (well one is new, and the other might not be that new, but is new to me and probably to you too)

The first new song that actually is new is called 'WE ARE WATER' (caps intended) by HEALTH, which will be on their new album 'GET COLOR' (as seen above) which is set for release in the fall. Very noisy. Very intense. Also quite good, however, as well as HEALTH'S other single 'Die Slow' it is somewhat more structured, which is a bit of a letdown because the first album gave me the impression that it would be chaotic and noisy, and not just noisy. I still kind of liked the track, now as much as Die Slow, but it was still good and I like it a lot. Also sorry about all the brackets and caps lock.
The second song, which I am still trying to get details on, is by Crystal Castles. It's called 'Baptism', and as far as I know, it is a song that is only played live and hasn't been recorded in a studio (but hook me up if you can find a studio recorded version) Sounded a little bit like their other song Air War. I first heard it when they played it at lollapalooza, and after that day i went back to my hotel room and found it on youtube. I've posted two live versions:
On another note, summer is almost over.
