This album was released a while ago, I've just been very lethargic lately and forgot about my blog. Anyways it dropped a month or so ago and people loved it, it's got a real '60s jangle-y guitar sound, which has been compared to the likes of Elvis Colstello. I thought the album was really catchy. The lyrics are really mopey though, which some people love because they feel they can relate to it. But lately I haven't been in the mood for it (I still liked the album however) My favorite track on the whole album has got to be 'Lust For Life', it's incredibly catchy and has a real 60's pop-rock atmosphere to it. A music video was released for the song as well, which was basically a video collage of teenagers getting into shenanigans (with sexy results) with a video filter which made the whole thing look really old. Shortly after the release of the cool video, they released a NSFW version which had nudity which was cool, then they threw in some naked men which made me a little uncomfortable. (being the heterosexual that I am, not that there's anything wrong with homosexuality) So i guess it evened the boobies to penis ratio evened out, which is fair, they had to make it appeal to everyone. (I will not be linking the NSFW video, go find it yourself)

The Finer Things Club
Since I use this blog to recommend music I like I thought I might as well use it to also promote my new solo music project/band (whatever you wanna call it) The Finer Things Club. I love music so much I took the liberty to create my own. I've already recorded two songs which can both be heard on the Myspace page (But I plan to re-record 'Riding Shotgun In My Car' as the outro was just not how I wanted it to be) Please listen, and if you like it please tell me so, as I love to recieve compliments, it's what gets me out of bed in the morning. If you feel there's something I could improve on, aside from recording quality, as I am using the microphone that came with the video game Rock Band, also let me know! But please don't be rude about it. If I stay motivated and focused enough to record a lot of songs I may start releasing them.
